Why Doesn't My Page Count Match the Number of Videos I Sent?
If your Spokenote analytics show more sessions than pages, don't worry—nothing is missing. Pages represent the video pages you've created, while sessions represent how many times those pages have been viewed. One page can generate multiple sessions as viewers return and engage with your content.
Good question! This is one of the most common analytics questions we receive, and the answer comes down to the difference between video pages created and page sessions.
Pages Created vs. Page Sessions
Think of it this way:
- Pages Created = The number of Spokenote video pages you've built.
- Page Sessions = The number of times viewers have opened those pages.
So if you created 3 video pages but your dashboard shows 4 page sessions, that doesn't mean a fourth page was created.
It means your existing pages have been viewed a total of 4 times.
Example
Let's say you created three video pages:
Video Page 1
- Created successfully
- No views yet
Video Page 2
- 2 Sessions
- 2 Page Loads
- 2 Video Plays
- 1 CTA Click
Video Page 3
- 2 Sessions
- 2 Page Loads
- 2 Video Plays
- 0 CTA Clicks
In this example:
✅ 3 video pages were created
✅ 4 total sessions occurred
✅ 2 pages have received viewer activity
That's why your dashboard may show:
- 4 Sessions
- 2 Active Pages
Even though you created 3 total pages.
Quick Tip
If you're trying to track how many Spokenotes you've created, look at your Pages section.
If you're trying to track audience engagement, look at Sessions, Page Loads, Video Plays, and CTA Clicks in Analytics.
Both metrics are valuable—they're just measuring different things.
Think of it like hosting three parties. You planned three events (pages), but four guests showed up (sessions).
