What is the Field Mapper, and how do I use it to build a Dynamic Video campaign?

The Field Mapper is the column-based interface inside the Dynamic Video Editor where you connect fields from your uploaded audience spreadsheet (like interest_segment, member_type, or industry) to specific video clips. Each column represents one field, and each clip within that column corresponds to a specific value of that field. When Spokenote assembles a recipient's personalized video, it pulls the clip that matches their data for each field, in order across the columns.

Once you've uploaded your audience spreadsheet and are ready to assemble your campaign, the Dynamic Video Editor is where you connect that data to your video clips — this is the Field Mapper.

• Aspect Ratio — sets the video format for the whole build (e.g., 16:9).
• Media Fill — controls how each clip fills the frame (e.g., Contain).

Each column in the editor represents one field from your audience spreadsheet. You choose which field a column maps to using the dropdown at the top of that column — in the example shown, columns are mapped to fields like introduction, interest_segment, member_type, and industry.

Within each column, you add one clip per possible value of that field. For example:

• A column mapped to interest_segment might contain separate clips for "Corporate - Financial Services - Leadership + Economic Initiatives," "Corporate - Healthcare - Advocacy + Policy Updates," and so on.
• A column mapped to industry might contain separate clips for "Community Development," "Creative Services," "Education," and "Financial Services."

When Spokenote assembles a recipient's video, it checks their data for each mapped field and selects the matching clip from that column — building the final video by stitching together one clip per column, left to right.

A column can also be set to Manual Clip rather than mapped to a specific field. This plays the same fixed clip for every recipient regardless of their data — useful for a standard intro or outro that doesn't need to vary by audience.

Each column has a few controls:

• Drag handle (⋮) — reorder columns, which changes the sequence clips play in.
• Trash icon — delete a column.
• Infinity icon — add a transition. Once all your clips are added, click this icon to apply a smooth transition between that clip and the next.

• Building a multi-segment campaign? Confirm every value your audience data could contain has a matching clip in each mapped column — a value with no matching clip may result in a gap in that recipient's video.
