I made a mistake and need to swap out a video in my Dynamic Video build. How do I do that?

This article explains what to do if you need to swap out a video in a Dynamic Video campaign build. Once a Dynamic Video campaign is saved, none of its video elements can be edited or reset — this is true regardless of campaign settings for most builds. The recommended fix is to build a new campaign from scratch with the correct videos, and to preview all content carefully before saving.

If you've already saved your campaign, you unfortunately can't change any of the video elements. Once a Dynamic Video campaign is saved, it's locked — no self-serve reset, no swapping individual videos, no partial edits. This applies to the video content across the whole build.

The best fix: recreate your Dynamic Video campaign as a brand-new campaign. When you rebuild it:

  • Double-check that the correct video is in each slot before saving.
  • Preview every video in the build, not just the one you fixed — it's easy to assume the rest are fine and miss another mistake.
  • If you're using CTA buttons, preview those too, and confirm the destination link and button text are correct.
  • Only save once everything checks out. There's no second pass after this.

Before you save (next time): treat the preview step as your one and only quality check. Saving is final, so this is the moment to catch mistakes — not after.

What to Check Next

  • Haven't saved yet? Good news — you can still fix the video directly in the Editor before saving. No need to start over.
  • Already saved and need to fix a mistake? Skip straight to rebuilding a new campaign — there's no in-between option.
